The body of an unknown man has been found at Sawla, the capital of the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region.
The body was found at the Roman Catholic cluster of schools by local authorities.
Two similar incidents have been recorded in Bole, which shares a boundary with the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District, within a month.
Speaking to Yagbon Radio in Bole, Chief of Sawla, Sawlawura Abdulai Nungbaso, said the development was a major issue discussed at a meeting at the Palace of the Paramount Chief of Bole on Friday 18th February 2022.
He said the Bolewura and Chiefs of the traditional area are not happy about the situation and called on security agencies to investigate the incidents.
The District Police Commander, DSP Paul Lambert, confirmed the incident and said investigations are underway.
The Savannah Regional Police command has also intensified police patrols in the Bole and Sawla-Tuna-Kalba Districts following the incidents of suspected murders.
Police also called on residents to help them with the necessary information.
