If Kylian Mbappe decides to leave Paris Saint-Germain, Sadio Mane would like to play alongside him at Liverpool.
Sadio Mane has stated his desire to play alongside Kylian Mbappe for Liverpool, amid transfer rumours linking the PSG superstar with a move to Anfield.
Mbappe’s current contract with PSG expires in the summer, and his future remains uncertain, with clubs from across Europe vying for his signature.
Real Madrid failed in a reported £146 million move last year, as Ligue 1 club turned down the approach despite the risk of losing France international for nothing this year.
The wage demands of the 23-year-old would almost certainly be a sticking point in any potential deal with Liverpool.
Mane, on the other hand, remains hopeful that Mbappe will join him at Liverpool.
Mbappe is ‘yet to close the door’ on PSG, according to Spanish outlet SPORT, but Liverpool is also in the running because the player is ‘not convinced’ of the project at the Bernabeu.
“Of course,” Mane told L’Equipe, “I’d like to play with him.”
“It’d be a spectacular attack.” But now it’s his turn to travel to Liverpool. “I’m confident he’d enjoy it.”
Liverpool is still in contract talks with Mohamed Salah, who has yet to agree to new terms.
