This will be accomplished by ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the goal of eliminating biases that stymie women’s advancement.
At a forum organized by the FBNBank Women Network (FWN) as part of this year’s International Women’s Day celebrations on the theme;
“Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow,” said FWN Chairperson Ms Grace Isaac-Aryee. “For us at FBNBank, the celebration of International Women’s Day is an acknowledgement of the challenges that women face in the workplace and in society in general, as well as our commitment to contribute significantly to breaking down the barriers that so undermine us.”
“The event is critical to our agenda and a core component of our objectives, and we are using this opportunity to reflect, pause, and renew our efforts to drive the agenda.”
She stated that over the years, FBNBank has promoted access to equal opportunities for women in the workplace through its FWN.
“Through its six pillars, the FWN provides female employees with capacity building and personal development opportunities.” Career Management, Network Programs/Projects & Events, Counselling-Support-Welfare, Financial Planning & Empowerment, Mentoring-Coaching-Sponsoring, and Personal Branding are among the services provided by the FWN.
Organizational Culture Transformation
Ms Isabel Boaten, a Managing Partner at AB & David, advised the bank’s female employees to take advantage of the growing empowerment culture for women in corporate organizations by responding positively to opportunities that come their way.
Mr Victor Yaw Asante, the MD, stated, “What we need to focus on is eliminating discrimination against women everywhere it exists and embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
