Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has won the Peoples Democratic Party’s N40 million presidential nomination.
On Thursday, Atiku announced this on his official Facebook page, adding that the form was obtained for him by northern businessmen through the North East Business Community.
“Moments ago, the North East Business Community handed me the PDP nomination and expression of interest forms,” he wrote.
“This was in fulfillment of a promise I made late last year when I visited the Jewel state of Gombe.” I will never be able to thank them enough, and I will never betray the trust they and other people of good will have placed in me.”
This would be Atiku’s sixth run for President, having previously run in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2019.
