I make no attempt to impress others. I always try to be true to myself. I used to care (about such criticism), but I no longer do. Even if I covered up (my body), some people would still criticize me.”
Though the actress stated that dressing sexily does not make one impure, many people on social media disagreed with her. “We have a culture in Africa,” she explained. Opening up in other countries is actually quite common. Being sexy does not imply being a slut. I used to dress like this before I got into acting. Even when I was a virgin, people called me a variety of derogatory names because of my appearance.
That was when I was living outside of Nigeria. People make a lot of assumptions. I travel a lot and have seen a lot of things. People simply enjoy condemning others who dress in a revealing manner. Meanwhile, some people who cover up (their bodies) usually sleep with multiple boyfriends. Some of them even run marathons (prostitution).

Johnson also stated that she does not believe an actress can sleep her way to the top of the industry. “I don’t believe an actress can sleep her way to the top of her career,” she added.
