Real Madrid will seek vengeance when they face Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals in 2021/22.
Last season, the Los Blancos were eliminated by the English side en route to Thomas Tuchel’s team winning their second Champions League title.
Chelsea advanced from the group stage by defeating Lille 4-1 on aggregate, while Real Madrid also overcame a 1-0 deficit in the first leg to defeat Paris Saint-German.
Manchester City will also face Atletico Madrid in the competition’s last eight, in another England-Spain clash.
The Spanish side will host City in the first leg at the Wanda Metropolitano before traveling to the Etihad for the second leg.
In other matches, the six-time champions will face Portuguese side Benfica, while Bayern Munich and Villarreal round out the quarterfinals.
Benfica advanced to the last eight of the competition after defeating Ajax 1-0 in Amsterdam, while Villarreal defeated Juventus to advance to the next round.
The first legs of the quarterfinal ties will take place on 5/6 April, with the second legs taking place on 12/13 April.
