Davido has informed his legions of fans that he has been selected for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Soundtrack, which will take place in Qatar this November.
The singer tweeted earlier today;
“I’m honored to be featured on the Official @FIFAWorldCup 2022 Soundtrack ! See y’all later 2NITE ! This one is for Africa! TULE!!!! 🤞🏾❤️ WE RISE.”
Unfortunately for the Nigerian singer and the Nigerian people, they will not be able to participate in this year’s soccer extravaganza after Ghana won the only ticket to the tournament.
In front of a huge crowd at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, Ghana held Nigeria to a 1-1 draw.
In the 11th minute, Arsenal’s Thomas Partey fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that snuck past Nigerian goalkeeper Francis Uzoho and went straight into the net.
Nigeria responded quickly to the first goal, earning a penalty in the 19th minute after Ademola Lookman was brought down by Dennis Odoi, and Captain William Troost-Ekong converted the penalty.
