Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has expressed concern about the ongoing killings in Kaduna State, Nigeria’s rising debt profile, crude oil theft, and other national challenges.
This was said by the octogenarian preacher at the Church’s monthly Thanksgiving Service on Sunday.
He bemoaned the fact that, despite the fact that Nigeria was able to settle its debts during the administration of then-President Olusegun Obasanjo, the country is now mired in debt.
The 80-year-old cleric also stated that praying for Nigeria to emerge from its gloom is more important to him than the 2023 elections.
God has not spoken to him about next year’s elections yet, he said, adding that God spoke to him about the 2019 elections more than a year before the election, but not so with the 2023 election.
He quickly added that God may still speak to him about the general elections in 2023, but that He has yet to do so.
