According to Football Insider, Liverpool are likely to add Celtic teenager Ben Doak to their deal for Fulham playmaker Fabio Carvalho.
Carvalho, 19, has already signed a five-year contract with the club after his contract with the Championship team expires in June.
An agreement with winger Doak, 16, is also nearly in place, according to a Liverpool source, and the paperwork is expected to be finalized soon.
Doak, who has previously been photographed in Merseyside holding aloft the number seven shirt, will receive roughly £600,000 in compensation from Liverpool.
On January 29, the youngster made his senior debut for Celtic in a 20-minute cameo against Dundee in a 1-0 win.
The following week, he came on as a late substitute in the Hoops’ 3-0 triumph over Rangers.
Doak has four goals in seven games for Scotland under-17s, including a hat-trick in last month’s 6-1 thrashing of Georgia.
He won’t be able to play for Liverpool’s development team until the following season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones, two of Liverpool’s youth graduates, will be looking up to the budding star.
