If Ghana’s Black Stars want to compete in the 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire next year, they will have to get past Madagascar, Angola, and the Central African Republic in Group E.
The draw took place on Tuesday at the Super Sport studios in South Africa, and it included the 48 teams that had advanced to the final level of qualifying for the event.
Before the draw, Ghana and 11 other countries with a solid AFCON record were grouped in Pot 1.
A total of 24 teams will compete in the final tournament in Cote d’Ivoire after twelve groups were formed from the four pots.
The AFCON competition in 2023 will be held between june23 and july 23,2023.
