Before the party’s primaries, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun selling Expressions of Interest and Nomination Forms for various elective posts.
In a post on Tuesday, Ita Enang, a presidential adviser who received the Akwa Ibom governorship candidacy and expression of interest forms, confirmed this.
The sale of forms was supposed to start last Saturday, but it was postponed until today due to the contractor’s failure to provide the forms.
Following that, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) authorized organising secretaries in each of the 36 states to collect nomination papers for candidates running for State House of Assembly seats.
This was part of the ruling party’s endeavor to keep up with the Independent National Electoral Commission’s calendar of activities and timetable (INEC).
The National Secretariat is selling nomination forms for candidates running for National Assembly, governorship, and presidential seats at three locations.
In addition, the NWC instructed that nomination forms for the State legislature be sold at the state headquarters.
