Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, former Anambra Governor Peter Obi, and Sokoto Governor Aminu Tambuwal will be screened by Mark, Chief Celestine Omehia, Chief Mike Ahamba, SAN, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, Edward Ashiekaa, SAN, and Mrs. Hilda Makonto.
Pius Anyim, the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed, Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike, and Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel will also face the screening committee.
Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, a prominent industrialist; Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, a former bank chief; Nwachukwu Anakwenze, a US-based medical doctor; and Dele Momodu, founder of Ovation Magazine, are among the others.
Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti; Cosmos Ndukwe, Mr. Charles Ugwu, Chikwendu Kalu, and Tariele Diana Oliver are also on the list.
Dr Akiku Indabawa, Hajiya Hassana Dikko, and Dr Esther Uduehi are the other members of the screening committee, with Ms Chinedu Nwachukwu serving as the committee’s Administrative Secretary.
According to a schedule released by the PDP’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, the screening would take place in Legacy House in Abuja, the party’s presidential campaign headquarters.
All contestants for governorship, state assemblies, and national assembly elections in all seven states in the North-West geographical zone are also scheduled to be screened in Abuja.
Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Kebbi, and Zamfara are among the states. The drill will take place on Wednesday and Thursday.
Except for Anambra, screening for the same categories of elections will take place at the party’s zonal secretariats on the same dates in the remaining states.
