Three African nations will compete in this year’s U-17 World Cup, which will be held in India later this year. After defeating Egypt in the qualification round, Nigeria’s U-17 Women’s team, known as the Flamingos, is getting closer to this year’s U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Flamingos advanced to the last round of the 2022 U-17 women’s World Cup qualifiers on Saturday, April 30, after defeating Egypt 6-0 on aggregate, according to Complete Sports.
After winning the first leg 4-0 in Abuja, the girls picked up where they left off in the second leg, scoring two goals to beat Egypt 2-0 at the Petrosport stadium in Cairo, giving them a 6-0 aggregate victory.
