Russian President Vladimir Putin believes that escalating the military battle in Ukraine will help him win the war, according to US Central Intelligence Agency Director William Burns.
Burns, speaking at a Financial Times event in Washington, said, “He’s in a frame of mind where he doesn’t believe he can afford to lose.” “I believe he is currently convinced that doubling down will allow him to make progress.”
