Botafogo won 1-0 against Flamengo on Sunday to move ahead of their Rio de Janeiro rivals in Brazil’s Serie A.
Flamengo relocated their home game to Brasilia, but their supporters were stunned six minutes into the second half when Erison scored a spectacular goal from 20 meters away.
Botafogo moved up to fifth place in the 20-team rankings after the win, with eight points from five games.
Flamengo, the league champions in 2019 and 2020, has dropped to 14th place with just five points and one win in five games.
