The thievery was committed by the Ghanaian actor, who is now an evangelist, because he was broke. He revealed this at Okyeame Quophi’s 30/30 segment broadcast on Angel FM.
“I used to take cabs, the trotro taxi type, not the taxi that drops you,” Majid Michel recalled of the event. So, when I get into the cab, I’ll remove the money [from the gear area where drivers deposit their coins] and put it in my pocket.”
“Then when we go to the destination, I’ll pay him with his own money because I didn’t have any,” he remarked after successfully stealing the money.
This isn’t the first time the actor has admitted to being a truant at some point in his life. Majid admitted earlier this year that he used to do narcotics.
“I used to go out and drink, we used to go out and liquor, we used to go out and smoke, we used to get into fights on the streets.” So I experimented with narcotics; we tried something to see what would happen “He told Fiifi Forson, the Sunday show’s host.
He recommended that, speaking about how addiction to alcohol and narcotics nearly destroyed his life, “Friendship is essential. If you’re a young man, choose your buddies carefully because they’ll play an important role in your life.”
Majid Michel has been preaching the Gospel for the past few years, which has surprised most of his followers. He does say, though, that “I’ve always known God throughout my life.” There was no point of no return. I’ve known God since I first became aware of life “.
Majid, on the other hand, found himself in hot water with the Ghana Narcotics Control Board after the disclosure. “I had an almost 1-hour interview after saying I had done drugs and that I didn’t see anything wrong with it,” he claimed in an interview with Okay FM in April.
“I stated that I have no problem with it because it is a plant that was created by God. So I didn’t think there was anything wrong about marijuana. What happened, Abeiku Santana? That is why I believe we should not mock Ghana’s laws. They hauled me up from my house on Monday morning at 8 a.m. for that statement.”
