As the rainy season has progressed in Ghana, many people have been forced to flee their houses owing to flooding.
The bulk of Accra residents have been displaced from their houses, while others have lost their belongings due to the uncontrollable water.
When asked about the public’s concerns, Ghana’s President, Nana Addo, stated that he will not waste money developing mechanisms to prevent floods if the people refuse to modify their mindsets.
According to Nana Addo, the most heinous behavior of most people is to toss trash into gutters, which is the primary source of flooding. So he won’t do anything to help tame the situation until they change their minds.
Efia Odo, a Ghanaian actress and former TV personality, responded to this in a Tweet, calling his decision selfish.
Efia Odo questioned why the president doesn’t have the money to build working flood-prevention measures in Ghana yet has enough money to go around in highly expensive private jets.
