Lydia Forson has accused President Nana Akufo Addo of making a remark about Ghanaians’ mindset, which appears to be the main cause of the Accra floods.
During his visit to Canada, Akufo Addo stated that he will not invest money to fix the drains unless Ghanaians stop putting garbage into the gutters.
His remarks came at a time when torrential rains had forced some Ghanaians to flee their homes and destroyed property, and the storms appeared to be just the beginning of a series of showers.
Lydia Forson, a vocal opponent of the government’s incapacity to improve the standard of living for Ghanaians, published the President’s remark in a tweet to demonstrate how insensitive the President is to the situation of Ghanaians.
