Odi Okojie, Mercy Johnson’s husband, has won a seat in the Edo State House of Representatives on the All Progressives Congress platform.
In the run-up to the 2023 general elections, Okojie has emerged as the candidate for the Esan North East/South East federal district.
Okojie praised God, his family, and the Edo people for their support in his acceptance speech, which he posted on his Instagram page on Saturday.
“In the coming days, my team and I will be embarking on more tours throughout all of our constituency’s wards, meeting with stakeholders (both leaders and constituents) in order to foster and deepen the already harmonious relationship that will bring about the very best ways of meeting the dire needs of the good people of Esan North East and South East constituency,” he said.
There is undoubtedly more to be done, and with all hands on deck, we will undoubtedly reach the promised land.”
His actress wife also congratulated her hubby on her Instagram page.
“Congratulations to @princeodiokojie on this win,” she wrote. You are a nice man and a people’s man.
I am confident that you will be an excellent federal representative for the people of Esan. The mission has evolved into a movement.”
