The legendary Marcelo Vieira of Real Madrid, whose 15-year stint with the Spanish giants ended in the summer, may be moving to Italy for his upcoming adventure. When he assisted the Los Blancos in winning their 14th UEFA Champions League championship, Marcelo brought his nearly two-decade stay with Madrid to a fairytale conclusion. The 25 titles he has won at Real Madrid make him the most decorated player in the club’s history. His most recent trophy tilt occurred back in May.
According to his advisors, legendary Real Madrid defender Marcelo Vieira has received a bid from Lazio of Italy. This summer, Marcelo ended his 15-year, trophy-filled tenure with Real Madrid and is now free to sign with anyone.
The 34-year-old Brazilian, who is presently on holiday, has been provided with a contract offer by the Serie A team.
Numerous bids for the seasoned defender have been made, according to his middleman. But when comparing the alternatives, his client will prefer the Lazio move. “We are awaiting the call from the club to begin the negotiations. He has two more offers, but they are from leagues that are not on par with Serie A. The only thing we know for sure is that his vacation will conclude in ten days and he will have made a decision by the end of July.
Due to his extensive experience in European events, Marcelo will be a welcome addition to Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio team, who have qualified for the Europa League.
After 15 years at the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid legend Marcelo has confirmed he will be leaving the team this summer. The Brazilian made his debut for the Spanish powerhouse back in 2007, and since then, he has had a trophy-laden career with Los Blancos. The seasoned footballer, though, has declared that his appearance in the Champions League final was his final encounter while wearing a Real Madrid uniform.
