Luis Campos, the sports advisor for Paris Saint-Germain, discussed Ousmane Dembele and provided an explanation for why his team decided against signing the attacker in the summer.
The rumor mill appeared to be convinced at one point that Dembele would leave Barcelona on a free transfer and come to the Parc des Princes. PSG was one of many clubs connected to Dembele.
Because of the options he already has in attack, Campos claims PSG were interested in Dembele but chose against making a move for him.
Dembele ultimately decided to remain with Barcelona and signed a two-year deal. The Frenchman afterwards claimed he never spoke to any other teams and only ever wanted to stay at the Camp Nou.
“I like Ousmane Dembélé a lot. Although he plays on the left and we lack a winger, he is a very talented player. When assembling a team, you must ensure that everything works as a whole.
