Callum Hudson-Odoi, a star for Chelsea, has revealed what club owner Todd Boehly told him prior to his summer loan departure from Stamford Bridge.
He claims that the American millionaire assured him of his long-term employment at Chelsea.
Under Thomas Tuchel, Hudson-Odoi struggled to land a consistent position and was eager to move in order to receive more playing time.
In the final hours of the summer transfer window, the English star was forced to transfer on loan to Bayer Leverkusen for the entire season.
And according to the 21-year-old winger, Boehly wants to bring him back to Stamford Bridge in the upcoming summer.
The new Chelsea administration is “certainly different,” Hudson-Odoi told MailOnline.
“A club always wants the option to buy the player at the end of the season when trying to sign a player [on loan]. Listen, we want you back here, Todd was saying.
“You’re still on the club’s radar as someone they want. The way he’s trying to set it up, he’s trying to buy a lot of young players for the upcoming years.
It demonstrates his desire to help the players become a part of the team and grow.
