Ivan Toney of Brentford has praised Mikel Arteta’s team for their success this year and praised Arsenal in particular.
When Arsenal thrashed Brentford 3-0 on Sunday, they made it six victories in a row and topped the Premier League standings.
At the Brentford Community Stadium, William Saliba, Gabriel Jesus, and Fabio Vieira each scored one goal to give Arsenal the victory.
Mikel Arteta’s club was referred to as the top team in the Premier League by Bees manager Thomas Frank following the game.
Following Brentford’s 3-0 loss on Sunday, he also believes the Gunners are legitimate title contenders.
But fair respect to them, they performed extremely well, Toney, who is presently with the England national side ahead of their Nations League games with Italy and Germany, remarked.
They were a different Arsenal team than the one we had previously faced, and they performed admirably. Kudos to them; they are succeeding.
