Tony Cascarino, a former Chelsea striker, has warned Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that the Blues will leave him soon.
The international from Gabon joined the Blues on the final day of the summer transfer window and has three goals in 10 appearances.
The 33-year-old, who joined Stamford Bridge from Barcelona over the summer after assisting the Catalan team in reaching the 2022–23 Champions League, appears to be having trouble.
Cascarino predicts that the former Arsenal striker’s Stamford Bridge tenure won’t survive and will actually finish similarly to how his time there did.
He insisted that the African star has little to offer at Stamford Bridge and recommended Chelsea owner Todd Boehly to hunt for a “better” striker.
“I’m not even sure Aubameyang is a player Chelsea will be looking at next season,’ he told talkSPORT.
‘I think what will happen is what happened to him at Barcelona.
He pointed out that after purchasing the Gabonese from Arsenal in January, the Catalan team realized Robert Lewandowski was a better option and purchased him from Bayern Munich.
Cascarino pointed out that because Lewandowski had been acquired, the multiple-time La Liga champions had to permit Aubameyang to join Chelsea.
