Salah (40), who had just scored his ninth goal in eight games, sprinted through when the center-back misjudged a headed at his own goal.
Harry Kane (70) scored a beautiful goal after being set up by substitute Dejan Kulusevski after Tottenham was given an early halftime whistle. This is not the first time this season that Tottenham has improved after the break.
Spurs frantically sought another late goal, and Rodrigo Bentancur and Harry Kane both came close, but Liverpool held on for their first away victory in the Premier League this year to move up to eighth and within seven points of fourth-placed Spurs with a game remaining.
