Didier Deschamps, the head coach of France, has downplayed rumors that striker Karim Benzema could rejoin the World Cup team.
Deschamps claims that he is not aware of the mounting rumors regarding Benzema.
Prior to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Benzema had been dealing with an injury.
Due to an injury, the Real Madrid player was compelled to withdraw from the World Cup entirely, and Deschamps chose not to replace him despite having the option.
According to reports, Benzema is still listed among the players enrolled for the World Cup and may play again before the competition concludes in Qatar.
Deschamps, though, has since disproved the assertion and stated that he is content with the players at his disposal.
In response to a sideways question on the Benzema rumors, Deschamps replied at a press conference before France’s World Cup match against Tunisia on Wednesday: “Wow. Well, I’m not sure what to say because I’m not really thinking about it.
I haven’t really kept up with who has been saying what, but you appear to know a lot about the subject.
“I spoke to Karim after he departed, and you are aware of the circumstances. We learned how long it would take him to recuperate.
I’m not sure what you are trying to suggest, so. My squad consists of 24 guys, and I am satisfied with it.
“Some players are missing, Kimpembe and Pogba are missing too, and of course, I talk with them
