One Senegal star has been singled out by former England and Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere as someone who could affect the Three Lions in their World Cup quarterfinal match on Sunday.
It is widely predicted that England will defeat Senegal and go to the quarterfinals in Qatar.
However, Wilshere cautions that England must not get comfortable in the face of their West African rivals.
Ismaila Sarr has led the squad to the competition’s knockout rounds despite the absence of Sadio Mane, and they will face their toughest test on Sunday when they take on the European juggernauts.
Sarr, 24, has played club football for Watford in the Premier League and Championship since 2019. He converted a penalty kick in the pivotal victory over Ecuador.
Ismaila Sarr, a Senegal winger, used to work as a masseuse at Watford, according to Wilshere, who spoke with The Sun.
He claims that Sarr is the fastest person he has ever seen. He has really improved technically as well, which is why many Premier League teams favor him.
He’s obviously someone we’ll need to keep an eye on during the counterattack.
