Ray Parlour, a former player for Arsenal, has advised the team to replace Gabriel Jesus with Ivan Toney in January.
Jesus was in excellent form for the Gunners prior to the FIFA World Cup break, aiding Mikel Arteta’s team in maintaining their lead in the Premier League standings.
Jesus suffered a knee injury that would require surgery during the current World Cup and was forced to leave the Brazil team.
The Brazilian international had surgery on Tuesday and could be sidelined for three months.
Ivan Toney of Brentford, in Parlour’s opinion, fits the criteria.
“Your availability in January is going to be a problem. Ivan Toney, I always say. I would try to track him down.
“I think he plays and scores goals in a way that reminds me of Ian Wright,” Toney reportedly said, per Metro.
