Former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney has advised Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe to switch to the Red Devils or Real Madrid from the French Ligue 1 winners.
Rooney asserts that Mbappe can only replace Messi and Ronaldo in the game by doing that.
Mbappe is regarded as the upcoming soccer megastar after winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
In France’s 2022 FIFA World Cup final loss to Argentina in Qatar on Sunday, the France international scored a hat-trick.
The Golden Shoe trophy for the tournament’s highest scorer went to the former AS Monaco attacker.
However, Rooney thinks the 24-year-old must change teams if he harbors dreams of winning the Ballon d’Or or the UEFA Champions League.
“I believe that Mbappe should quit that team and join the Premier League. Despite the fact that PSG is a huge club, I believe he has accomplished everything in Ligue 1. Real Madrid or Manchester United, perhaps.
Rooney told Sports 18: “I think he needs to join Manchester United or Real Madrid if he wants to go to the level of Messi and Ronaldo.”
The current Paris Saint-Germain contract of Mbappe will end in 2025.
