Harry Maguire, the captain of Manchester United, gave Jack Butland a welcoming message on Friday.
Early on Friday morning, Manchester United announced the acquisition of Butland from Premier League for Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils signed the 29-year-old England goalkeeper on a loan for a period of six months.
After Martin Dubravka was brought back from loan by Newcastle United, Man United manager Erik ten Hag was eager to fill in for starter David de Gea.
Butland joins Ten Hag’s group of goalkeepers despite not playing for Crystal Palace this season.
After arriving at Old Trafford, Butland said via his Twitter account: “Massive club. enormous opportunity unable to wait to begin.
And in response to Butland’s tweet, Maguire sent a warm welcome to the goalie at Man United by saying, “Welcome friend (handshake).”
