Real Madrid has identified Marcus Rashford of Manchester United as Karim Benzema’s replacement.
According to El Nacional, Benzema has six months left on his deal with the Spanish superpower and has the option to become a free agent in June 2023.
Since Benzema has only made eight LaLiga games this season owing to ongoing injury problems, he is no longer the player he once was.
The Frenchman is no longer a reliable source for Real Madrid because he is nearing the conclusion of his playing career.
Now that Rashford has gained financial stability, the storied striker might be replaced.
According to a 2022 ESPN article, Rashford was valued at more over £120 million by Manchester United.
The Englishman is in the final six months of his contract at Old Trafford, so failing to sell him now could result in the Red Devils losing him on a free transfer at the end of the season.
This month, Rashford is allowed to discuss pre-contract terms with international teams.
