Britney Spears’ co-conservator for a short time while they were engaged, Jason Trawick, a Hollywood agent, said that Britney needed to be placed under conservatorship for her own good.
On Kevin Connelly’s podcast, Trawick, whose clientele included Taylor Swift, Paris Hilton, and Hilary Duff, talked about his work.
The topic of managing Britney, whom he had met in 2006 through her brother Bryan Spears, came up.
During some of her most difficult years after she was placed under conservatorship in 2008, he served as her spokesman.
They began dating the next year, became engaged in 2011, and separated in 2012.
He discussed the contentious conservatorship, arguing that the “Toxic” singer required it at the time and asserting that, based on what he saw, Jamie Spears had good intentions.
He addressed the idea that Jamie paid him to be a “spy,” among other discoveries, and disputed that his relationship with Britney was a lie.
“Listen, did she require a conservatorship when I was there? Yes. The first to say it will be me. She probably required some direction.
He claimed that since she and her ex-husband Kevin Federline “spent a lot of money” during their two years of marriage, someone needed to be in charge of the pop star’s finances.
Plus, “On The Price Is Right, she would be the worst contestant. She lacks a basic understanding of prices “He continued, referring to the 41-year-old with whom he has lost contact.
He claimed that she also need the conservatorship for “treatment [and] to prevent her from visiting some folks who were not wonderful [influences].”
He continued by saying that Jamie, Britney’s father, “100%” intended for the stringent conservatorship to be in place.
“Unless they can establish he somehow took money from her,” stated Trawick.
He claimed Jamie sacrificed a lot to get the position.
Following many meltdowns throughout 2007 and unending scandals that ultimately resulted in her losing custody of her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden Federline, Britney was notoriously placed under a conservatorship back in 2008.
After 13 years, the conservatorship came to an end in 2021.
Trawick said he wasn’t sure if the conservatorship should have terminated sooner or later, but added that while he was in Britney’s life, she needed someone to watch over her so people didn’t take advantage.
