Erling Haaland of Manchester City was overlooked by former Manchester United striker Michael Owen when he name the best-value Premier League transfer this year.
Following his bargain £51 million transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City last summer, Haaland has taken the English Premier League by storm this season.
Although he has 25 goals in 18 Premier League games this season, he hasn’t been the finest performer.
Kaoru Mitoma, who has been in excellent form, was chosen by Owen as the Premier League’s finest value player this year.
He tweeted: “Another stunning goal from Mitoma today. Haaland has to be the signing of the season but I’d say Mitoma, at 2.6m, has to be the best value for money signing.”
