The 64-year-old actress advised her younger colleagues that they don’t have to move to Lagos or Abuja to achieve when she spoke at a candlelight vigil in remembrance of Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the creator of the Africa Movie Academy Awards.
She urged them to give up the notion that they needed to reside in either state in order to become well-known in Nollywood.
She went on to say that success is not determined by living in Lagos or Abuja and that people can succeed while remaining in their home states.
Thespian claimed that some performers and actresses started out in the east but relocated to the west after becoming well-known and lost sight of their origins.
