2baba, a legendary musician from Nigeria, has responded to individuals criticizing him and other famous people for not endorsing a presidential candidate.
Prior to the presidential election on February 25, he addressed Nigerians and expressed his discontent in an Instagram video.
He maintains that because the electorates are old enough to make their own decisions, they don’t require celebrities to do so.
He continued by saying that while the election is important for the presidency, Nigerians should also pay attention to local elections, particularly those for governor and local government.
In addition, he advised individuals to participate in politics and join a political party if they wanted to see genuine change, emphasizing that it would take time.
The singer of “African Queen,” who continued, asked people to continue working with the same vigor they did during the election campaigns even after the results were announced because the work has only just begun.
He continued by saying that Nigerians should keep elected officials accountable even when they are not in government because improving the country takes continuous effort on all fronts.
