Richarlison of Tottenham Hotspur is one of the three candidates Real Madrid has shortlisted to take Karim Benzema’s spot at the Santiago Bernabeu.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Goncalo Ramos of Benfica and Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain are the other two candidates on the shortlist to succeed Karim Benzema at Real Madrid.
Benzema’s Real Madrid contract is slated to expire at the conclusion of the current campaign.
It is anticipated that the winner of the Ballon d’Or will receive at least a short-term contract.
Richarlison, Mbappe, and Ramos are just a few of the players Real Madrid has on hand in case Benzema decides not to extend his contract, or even for future needs.
This year, Richarlison has not made an impression at Tottenham. The Brazilian international has only contributed two goals and four assists to Antonio Conte’s team’s 26 victories so far this season.
The summer saw rumors of Mbappe joining the LaLiga champions in Spain, but the France international chose to remain at PSG.
Ramos, on the other hand, became well-known during the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. In the round of 16, Portugal’s international player beat Switzerland with a hat-trick.
