Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, claimed that his team’s 4-1 victory over Arsenal on Wednesday night had given them control over their title fate.
On Wednesday night at the Etihad, the Premier League champions smashed Mikel Arteta’s team.
First-half goals from John Stones and Kevin De Bruyne gave City the advantage. Rob Holding scored before De Bruyne made it 3-0.
With a late goal, Erling Haaland gave Pep Guardiola’s team the victory.
Arsenal currently has 75 points, just two more than City, who still has two games left to play.
We are still not in first place since they are two points ahead of us.
“You must succeed in the current games. We cannot drift off course.
We now have it in our hands. We have to utilise it while it’s in our hands, Guardiola said to BBC Sport.
