According to Sky Sports, Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur will continue to play in the Premier League if he is not traded before their league opener against Brentford on August 13.
Kane believes that it would be unfair for him to quit once the season has begun out of respect for the team and the new manager, Ange Postecoglou.
The English captain and Bayern Munich have been in negotiations for weeks.
The defending Bundesliga winners are trying to outdo their previous £81.7 million (€95 million) offer to Spurs.
Kane would represent the largest move in Bayern’s history in any conceivable agreement.
Kane was also connected to Manchester United, but Rasmus Hojlund is on the verge of joining the Red Devils.
