Jada Pinkett Smith, an American actress and talk show host, has explained why she cannot divorce Will Smith despite the two having had “completely separate lives” since 2016.
On Purpose, a podcast hosted by Jay Shetty, recently featured Pinkett.
In response to her husband’s kind assessment of her book, Pinkett Smith stated his sense of humor is the reason she can’t divorce “that joker.” The host then read out a note from Will Smith praising Pinkett’s memoir, “Worthy.”
“I salute and honor you,” the host said. I probably would have hugged you more if I had read this book 30 years earlier. I’ll get going now. We’re glad you’re here. I will always love you. Go get some Merlot and relax now.
“Hahaha,” flushed Jada Pinkett. He’s aware I can’t have Merlot.. That is lovely. I can’t divorce that joker because of that, I laugh.
Remember that Pinkett just revealed that she and her husband, Will Smith, have been living apart since 2016 in a clip from her upcoming NBC News primetime special with Hoda Kotb.
“Even though it wasn’t in writing, it was still a divorce.” We haven’t lived together since 2016,” Pinkett stated.
