Former Man United player Gary Neville has stated that he has little sympathy for forward Anthony Martial since in his nine years at Old Trafford, Martial has only scored 89 goals.
Neville added that Rasmus Hojlund, a summer addition, has been hindered by Martial’s lack of star potential.
He made his remarks on Sky Sports before Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup match between Manchester United and Newcastle United, which ended in a 3-0 loss.
Neville remarked, “There are moments when I ask myself, ‘Are we being too harsh?'” after watching a show like Sunday.
“As I previously stated, I believe you would be witnessing a sensation if Hojlund joined Manchester United and his partner was one of Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, or Eric Cantona, as the pressure would be removed from him.
