There is a gulf between Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag and his players, according to former Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given.
Following Man United’s 3-0 Carabao Cup loss to Newcastle on Wednesday, Given made the assertion.
He claims that Ten Hag and his players have numerous unresolved issues behind closed doors.
Remember that a few weeks ago, Ten Hag and Jadon Sancho had a falling out?
On September 3, he chastised Sancho for his subpar training sessions; however, the England winger later stated that the Dutchman’s remarks were inaccurate.
Following Man United’s loss against Newcastle, Given stated the following (via Daily Mail):
“There seems to be a disbelief at the end of any managerial reign at any club,” he continued.
“It is the responsibility of the players to know when to cross the white line.”
