Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Nigerian musician, has eclipsed Diamond Platnumz, the Tanzanian singer, as the most streamed Sub-Saharan African artist on YouTube.
Currently, Burna Boy has 2.52 billion streams on the platform, compared to the Tanzanian star’s 2.37 billion streams.
Wizkid, an additional Nigerian musician, ranks third among Sub-Saharan African musicians with 1.83 billion views on YouTube. Fally Ipupa, a legendary Congolese performer, comes in second with 1.61 billion views, while Davido comes in third with 1.50 billion views.
Topping the list with 1.41 billion streams are Rema from Nigeria, followed by CKay (1.30 billion streams), Flavour (1.19 billion streams), P Square (1.14 billion streams), and Tekno (1.01 billion streams) from Nigeria.
