The Rock, also known as actor and wrestler Dwayne Johnson, has declined to support President Joe Biden for a second term.
In a recent interview with Fox News, The Rock—who supported Biden in the 2022 election—asked, “Am I going to do that again this year? No, is the response to that. I know now that I won’t do it going into this election.
“Am I satisfied with the current situation of America? Obviously, the answer is no. Do I think things will get better? I think that because I’m a positive person. And I think we’re capable of more.
“The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was what I thought was the best decision for me at that time. I thought back then, when we talked about, ‘Hey, you know, I’m in this position where I have some influence,’ and it was my job then to exercise my influence and share who I’m going to endorse.”
Johnson, who said his “goal is to bring this country together,” was quick to add that he would keep his politics to himself.“It is between me and the ballot box, like a lot of us out there, not trusting of all politicians, I do trust the American people and whoever they vote for, that is my president and who I will support 100 per cent,” he said.
Johnson gave Biden and Kamala Harris, his running mate, his endorsement back in September 2020.
