R&B singer Ashanti and American rapper Nelly are engaged.
Together, the couple is also expecting their first child.
In a Wednesday exclusive interview with Essence Magazine, Ashanti revealed this.
“This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation.
“Motherhood is something that I have looked forward to, and sharing this with my family, fiancé, and loyal fans, who have been so supportive of my career, is an amazing experience,” she remarked.
Nelly and Ashanti began dating in 2003 and called it quits in 2013. In 2023, the couple resumed their courtship, and on Ashanti’s birthday in October of that year, they made it official via an Instagram post.
Nelly has two children from a previous relationship, but Ashanti will be having her first child with this child.
In addition, he has two adopted children from Jaqueline Donahue, his stepsister, who passed away in 2005 due to leukemia.
