Tems, a Nigerian musician, has declared her intention to launch a women’s football team.
In her YouTube podcast, the Grammy Award winner discussed her passion for athletics.
“I love sports,” she declared. Although I adore sports, I would play football if I could. Like a football enthusiast, I am.
“I want to form a football team for women. It is, in my opinion, necessary. Why can’t we just get the gals together for a little local competition? It seems like it might be enjoyable.
Tems added that the women’s football squad would participate in regional events since she believes this would greatly benefit the Nigerian women’s league.
2020 saw Tems become well-known after collaborating with Wizkid on the hit song “Essence.”
She later collaborated with well-known artist Justin Bieber on a remix, for which she was nominated for a Grammy.
