Senator Uba Sani, who represents Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, declared his intention to run for governor of Kaduna on the platform of the All Progressives Congress on Tuesday.
Uba declared his candidacy at the state party secretariat in the state capital, saying he wanted to build on the legacy of his boss and state governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
While emphasizing the importance of preserving the incumbent governor’s legacy of transforming Kaduna State into the envy of all, Uba insisted that the “high standards he has set are both a source of pride and a challenge to his associates and loyalists.”
In appreciation for the work, the lawmaker also made an on-the-spot donation of 59 cars.
In appreciation of the work of the state APC executives and local government chairmen, the lawmaker also made an on-the-spot donation of 59 cars.
“I donated 59 cars to them to help them with their work and to motivate them to prepare for the 2023 election,” he said.
Party leaders such as the state chairman, deputy chairman, secretary, and other members of the State Executive Committee attended the event.
Sani stated that the state had undergone a major revolution under El-Rufa’i, and that the state’s major challenge now was to sustain and build on the governor’s legacy of outstanding public service and impact.
The state has been reworked, as evidenced by the state’s remarkable milestones in policies, infrastructure, health, education, water resources, agriculture, and agribusiness, to name a few. “Kaduna State has truly seen a new dawn,” he said.
