Jurgen Klopp has called for Sadio Mane to be given more protection after the Liverpool forward was accused of diving.
Jurgen Klopp was unhappy with the treatment of Sadio Mane in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Arsenal.
Mane played 90 minutes in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Arsenal on Wednesday, bringing the Reds to within a point of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino scored in the second half to help Liverpool win their ninth consecutive game and close the gap on Pep Guardiola’s side, but Klopp was frustrated by some of the decisions that went against Mane.
And the manager reacted angrily to claims that the Senegal star is too easily knocked down, as he issued a plea for more assistance for his No.10 going forward from the match officials.
