Former Aston Villa captain Gabriel Agbonlahor believes Manchester United star Marcus Rashford would accept a two-month break from football if offered one. Rashford has struggled for form at Manchester United this season, leading to his exclusion from Gareth Southgate’s latest England squad.
This season, the 24-year-old has made just ten Premier League starts. Since Ralf Rangnick took over as interim manager at Old Trafford, he has been unable to establish himself as a regular.
Rashford, according to Agbonlahor, has cut a despondent figure in recent weeks. According to the analyst, the forward appears to be uninterested in playing football right now.
And he claims Rashford would be willing to take a break from the game. “I don’t know, he just looks like he doesn’t like football,” Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT.
He appears to be a player who is currently playing but does not want to play football. Rashford, in my opinion, does not fit on the right side of midfield.
“He has to play as a center-forward or on the left side, and I prefer him cutting in on the left.” Rashford has been outstanding coming in from the left wing, but he appears to be a player who does not want to play football this season.
“If you told him he could take two months off to clear his head, I believe he’d take it.” He doesn’t appear to want to play football.
