Former Senate President Bukola Saraki is said to be working to restore the leadership qualities of late President Umaru Yar’Adua and undo the bad governance of the current President, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
During a consultative visit to the Peoples Democratic Party’s stakeholders, delegates, and supporters from Borno and Yobe States on Wednesday, Prof. Iyorwuese Hagher, the Leader and Chairman of the Saraki Contact and Advocacy Council Committee, said Saraki, one of the party’s presidential aspirants, is the only trusted and capable hand in the race.
“He (Saraki) is a true democrat with courage, not a civilian dictator,” he said. He has the ears of late President Umaru Yar’Adua. He is a reincarnation of late Yar’Adua.”
While soliciting the support of stakeholders and delegates, Saraki’s presidential campaign team stated that they were in Borno for an advocacy visit to garner support for Saraki to pick the PDP’s presidential ticket.
Saraki, according to Hagher, wants to be the next President in order to free the country from the shackles of insecurity, inflation, and other forms of bad governance that have plagued the country over the last seven years of Buhari’s All Progressives Congress administration.

He stated that the campaign team had paid similar visits to Gombe, Katsina, and other federation states as part of its sensitization tour across the country for Saraki, presenting his vision to Nigerians prior to his official declaration.
Apart from the agony and poverty imposed on Nigerians, particularly those in the North East, Hagher claimed that the APC had succeeded in dividing the country, describing Saraki as a candidate who goes beyond zoning and the one the country needs to address the issues.
