Jordan Ayew has admitted that he would like to score more goals in the final few games of the season.
On Sunday, the 30-year-old striker scored against Arsenal, helping Crystal Palace to a 3-0 victory on Monday night.
Ayew, who scored the game’s second goal, now has two goals in the Premier League this season, but he hopes to add a few more before the season ends.
I’m overjoyed, and I hope this isn’t the last goal I score. I’m hoping for a lot more in the last few games.”
Three of Ayew’s four Premier League goals have come from his left foot against Arsenal.
The Ghanaian believes his goal against Arsenal on Monday demonstrated that he has a good weak foot.
“Joachim Anderesen made a beautiful pass. I’m not left-footed, but my left foot gets a lot of attention. Today, I believe I demonstrated to everyone that I have a good left foot by slotting it in.”
Ayew’s current contract with Crystal Palace expires in July 2022, so he could leave at the end of the season. The striker has been with the Premier League club since joining from Swansea City in 2018.
